Wissingers im Schlechterbrau in Lindau

Yesterday we ordered Gans to Go for the family. It was delicious. Crunchy skin, juicy meat, perfect dumplings, horny red cabbage with a super delicious sauce ... We were all absolutely thrilled! Thank you for the lovely evening!

We were happy to have managed to get a seat in the bar area without a reservation. The stools are not that comfortable, but the atmosphere is right. The service is very friendly and courteous, the cook personally brings the food to the seat. The portions are plentiful, well seasoned and really tasty (we had "Braumeister Goulasch", onion roast beef and Kaiserschmarrn). The in-house beer can be hissed away easily.

Friendly service, there is enough choice. The portions may be a bit small if you are very hungry. Only the operating speed leaves a lot to be desired.

Definitely not worthy of the 4.5 star rating on Google. Service was mediocre with little attention to individual tables, little patience and little enthusiasm. Food was "okay" at best, with the steak both of medium quality and the cooking done poorly. Also, the fries were way too salty and there was very little else on the plate to make it a nice dish. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Burger with fries for 10 euros. I didn't expect much then. But my expectations were exceeded. Delicious!! The fries were perfect and the service staff was very friendly! That was the first delicious meal after we stopped in Lindau a lot and were disappointed again and again.

Great food. Last year on vacation we have already been here 3 times for dinner. Of course, you either have to be there early or make a reservation, as the restaurant is busy. But it's definitely worth it

Is a Biergarten but you can't have just a beer, they only allow you to stay if you have dinner. This although the place is empty. Pity.

Excellent hearty food, very brisk and friendly service. There were individual Bodensee wines. Schedule some waiting on Saturday night, but it's worth the wait. Both the Bodensee fish tartare and the Bodenseefelchen as well as the hearty Bavarian brewery house fare with e.g. Onion roast with cheese spaetzle are really excellent. The warm Taleggio with fig mustard and the Lindau strawberries are also amazing. Thank you, have a nice evening

Great, nice service and all Corona requirements are met here. Got a table in the bar area. Fine wheat beer and very good fresh cuisine. Had soup and salad for starters. As a main course goulash with bread dumplings and a perfectly fried rib eyesteak served on the wooden board. For dessert a Kaiserschmarrn which was also very tasty. Nice beer garden that we couldn't use because of rain.

Unfortunately we came to the restaurant without a reservation. Despite the full beer garden (the restaurant itself is not operated due to Corona), the friendly lady at the counter offered us a table to wait (other guests in the beer garden paid and a table was soon available). All service staff at the Wissingers were very friendly, funny and talkative. The corona regulations were observed (disinfect tables, mouth and nose protection, etc.). The food was a real pleasure - really, really delicious. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of it. The next time we visit Lindau we will certainly stop by again!

Although the restaurant inside was completely empty on Saturday evening and apparently only the terrace was full, we were sent away because everything was full. I have never experienced anything like it. The others who came after us were also sent away.

Extremely nice and fast service. Very tasty dishes, sufficiently large portions, nicely arranged - without unnecessary frills. Good beer selection. You sit nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Gladly again!

Came here with my wife when we passed through Lindau. We didn't have a reservation so we were placed at a shared table, which I thought was pretty cool. The service was good if a little slow, but it was definitely busy in the restaurant. I had the goulash which was amazing and my wife had the fish which she said was delicious. The food is very reasonably priced especially since you're on a touristic island. I'd definitely go back.

Eaten very well. You sit very nicely in the beer garden. The service was very fast and nice. The food was very tasty. Price is more in the middle to higher segment.

Nice restaurant, the decor is "dignified modern" one has left the core of the old and supplemented by new elements. The menu offers good home-cooked food with local produce. At lunchtime there is a separate card. Our food was delicious, the steak grilled to the point. The service attentive, friendly and fast. The order was accepted quickly. Drinks and meals came fast.

Fantastic burger!

I do not know what to complain about here. Maybe my steak was a bit too short fried, but it was still delicious. Here you can get good food for a reasonable price in a modern setting. The service was very accommodating, but not intrusive. If we come back to Lindau we will definitely come back again.

Definitely a recommendation. If you just want to shovel is wrong here, but if you want to eat good and high quality food and seeks is just right! A nice ambience, very friendly staff and a really great kitchen for a fair price offer everything you want.

good value for money, but the steaks are not more than average quality. 20 EUR for a 200 g Rump steak is ok. they claim that it is made on lava stone. well, you wouldn't notice.

Nice food

One of the best schnitzel my colleague has had. And the catch of the day fish was exquisite with almonds and fresh salad. The waiters were so helpful in helping us in English and to top it off they made us try Mirabelle.

Decent food and drinks menu. Good quality and hence pricey. Friendly waiters. A good beer Garten in the back. The locals love this place and it’s a bit crowded.

For being a beer garden the food was very good.

Some of the waitress were not really nice. The food was good. I ordered a rumsteack,it was really good, however it was also really small.
